Watch Out: This, you cannot do

You cannot bank time. There is no scenario where “Surprise! You get 32 hours today” because you only used 16 hours yesterday. Time is the only asset we share equally on a global scale. What we do with it makes it our most valuable resource. Wasting time by choice, (think hot summer day, cold beer, live music…) is a luxury. But when our limited, precious time is robbed it can feel criminal.

For those on the receiving end of security alarm alerts you are no stranger to time robbery. Think of all the time lost reacting to all the absolutely pointless security alerts that get triggered by bugs or rain. So irritating.  Not to mention the mental numbness caused by thinking about alerts…. Do you set a timer for alerts? Turn them off? Leave them on but ignore them? What if that one alert you ignore was actually a real threat? It happens. People get robbed, hurt or worse every hour because of a missed alert.

In regretful moments of crisis, time can feel cruel. You need more of it and you cannot have it. There is nothing you can do, say or buy to get your lost time back. In life shattering instances it’s devastating to consider the difference a few seconds could have made. A smash and grab may have been prevented, reputation damage avoided, lives saved from trauma or loss. If only the threat had been detected before the crime occurred.

As early as a few years ago, there was no way to be efficiently proactive. Cameras blindly recorded “life”. Known events were recalled and played back so pieces of the past could help justice, hopefully, prevail. New “smart cameras” can detect objects rather than blindly recording them. However detection alone can actually be harmful. Noisy alert congestion fails three fold. One, false alert volume creates an unrewarding work experience for monitoring agents (which drives up operational costs) customer satisfaction tanks (which damages reputation making it harder to hire and reduces revenue from attrition) and worst of all true threats get missed. People get hurt. Merchandise goes missing. Dreams shatter.

The “detection” of things is only helpful if the “things” detected are filtered. When this happens, accurately, costly, time robbing, nuisance alerts are suppressed and only critical data is transmitted. When this happens, accurately and instantly, no more time is wasted on useless activity. Time seems to expand. There is suddenly more of it. Time to think about growing your business, because you know it is protected. To think about the future instead of fearing it. Time to grab that cold beer in the sun while catching a set from your favorite local band.

Camect improves the efficacy and accuracy of Security Video Camera Alerts, while reducing volume.
We do this by adding intelligence to your existing security camera. Without Camect, a regular security camera is nothing but empty, electronic eyes with a memory. It can't tell the difference between a plant and a person. The camera simply detects motion, records it, then sends a clip. This clip must be reviewed by real human eyes to assess if it is a real threat, or well, just nothing. Fortunately it is usually nothing, but unfortunately that "nothing" costs time, attention and in some cases, sleep.

The founders of Camect created a better way to look only at something specific.
With a proactive approach to detection our intelligent software can detect, with over 99.5% accuracy, over 30 unique objects. Only the images you deem threatening, or interesting, are instantly transmitted. You will see the action in real time and can use an audio talk down, or siren to deter criminals. And yes, you got it! That means you are never bothered by things like bees buzzing or plants blowing in the wind. Your video is also stored on premises, not in a cloud. This offers you more security by reducing the risk of a privacy breach.
